Tara partners with global organizations, companies, foundations, and individuals, enabling them to create transformative impacts around the world. With over 14 years of international development experience, she is passionate about connecting donors to their philanthropic efforts and leading projects that bring sustainable change.
Tara speaks 6 languages and is a published author with the G20 and G8 Research Groups. She served as a Mentor in the Immigrant Women Integration Program in Toronto, Canada and a participant in the Share Your Knowledge women's mentorship program in Serbia, implemented by the U.S. Embassy, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and European Movement in Serbia (EMinS).
Biography
Having moved to the US as a refugee from the war in Yugoslavia, Tara decided at a young age that she would make it her mission to empower others to make a positive change in their communities. Through program management, donor engagement, and social activism, she motivates and inspires others to show that each of us has a role to play in changing the world.
Her education includes an Honors BA in Political Science, European Union Studies, and Spanish from the University of Toronto. She underwent UN Peacekeeping Training in Nairobi, Kenya and completed her UN Workshop on Emergency Management Certificate at the UNHRD Training Centre in Brindisi, Italy.
Tara has lived in various countries in Europe and North America, and has field work experience in East Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Amazon Rainforest.
